LA QUERCIA SRL, WAS FOUNDED BY ERCOLE ANGELINI AND VITTORIO ANGELINI WITH THE PURPOSE OF PRODUCING AND MARKETING ARTISAN CHEESE AND RICOTTA MADE FROM LOCAL SHEEP'S MILK.

Encouraged by the growing demand from many local customers, Ercole and Vittorio in 1994 decided to invest in a larger and more efficient manufacture, located in their own town of Guidonia, just few miles from Tivoli and Rome. La Quercia srl still operates according to a traditional criteria, gradually updated to the standards of modern technology. The mission of the company is to offer its customers quality cheeses maintaining traditional flavors alive, following the experience of the family dairy.

As a result of the quality of their production in the course of the years, La Quercia srl operates as of 2010, within ISO 9001: 2008 certification program. The certification program ensures strict production procedures, selection of ingredients and the correct handling of the product, all within the respect of the current European legislation regarding food safety.

La Quercia srl ​​has always promoted the recognition of a traditional cheese production method and has been the first to sponsor the Consortium of Ricotta Romana DOP. As of today, it is the largest producer within Consortium in terms of quantity, and one of the most recognized for his prize winning quality.

As a matter of fact, many of La Quercia cheeses have received in the years prestigious awards for superior quality and taste. La Quercia srl collects about 4,5 millions liters of milk a year from selected and monitored farms in five districts of the Lazio Region (the region of Rome).

Today, La Quercia's main customers are regional and national supermarkets chains, as well as quality stores, restaurants and hotels. For many years, part of our pecorino cheese and Ricotta Romana DOP production has been exported to the United States and Canada.

La Quercia srl also has a 50% share of La Capretta srl a specialized producer of quality goat milk cheeses.

Production  of goat cheese made with  100% Italian goat milk . Our goat cheeses: La Caprona, La Cremosa di Capra.
